A Richardson Group Newsletter

By: The Richardson Group

April 1, 2008 -- The winter real estate market was cool and unpredictable but with the chill of winter behind us, the Windmill Harbour real estate market seems to be warming up with the weather. Our new sales office has seen a significant increase in traffic and our January, February and March open houses have produced some of our largest turnouts. Windmill Harbour sales are on an upward trend. In 2007, the first quarter produced $1,850,000 in home sales compared to the first quarter of 2008 which has already seen $6,585,000 in home sales. Supporting the increase in sales are the homes under contract. Currently there are homes in excess of $1,384,000 under contract in Windmill Harbour. The National Association of Realtors is reporting a 3% gain from January to February of 2008. "We're not expecting a notable gain in existing-home sales until the second half of this year, but the improvement is another sign that the market is stabilizing", says Lawrence Yun, National Association of Realtors' Chief Economist. The First Quarter has proved promising for Windmill Harbour. We look forward to more positive news this year. We will keep you posted.
