Windmill Harbour
James N. (JR) Richardson, Jr. was the lead developer of Windmill Harbour, a 172-acre, private residential community of 500 homes. Fronting the Intracoastal Waterway, it offers spectacular views of both the channel and its bordering saltwater marshes. The harbor the community is named for is a 15-acre, inland enclosure twice the size of Harbour Town, and home of the South Carolina Yacht Club, which J.N. Richardson founded. Windmill Harbour’s sports center offers four clay tennis courts, saunas, Jacuzzi, dressing rooms, a pro shop and a 25-meter swimming pool. Jogging and bike trails also connect throughout the community. |
